PSU I practice test for Scrum with UX
The Professional Scrum with User Experience I (PSU I, often searched as PSU 1) certification from Scrum.org checks how Scrum Teams build UX into their work instead of handing it off to a separate design phase. Questions cover discovery and validation inside the Sprint, testing assumptions with real users, Lean UX ideas and how designers work as part of a cross-functional team. Our PSU I practice tests cover each area.

What the PSU I exam tests
- UX in cross-functional teams: designers as Developers, and avoiding hand-offs and separate design phases.
- Discovery and validation: hypotheses, experiments and testing assumptions with users.
- Product value: outcomes over output, and measuring what users actually do.
- Scrum framework: events, artifacts and accountabilities, with UX work inside them.
- Product Backlog management: turning what you learn into Product Backlog items.
Sample PSU I exam question
A Scrum Team is unsure whether a new onboarding flow will help users. What should they do?
- Build the full flow and measure it after release.
- Ask a separate UX team to finish designs for every screen first.
- Test a quick prototype with real users during the Sprint and use what they learn to update the Product Backlog.
- Let the Product Owner decide based on stakeholder opinion.
Answer: 3. Validating an assumption early and cheaply, inside the Sprint, gives the team evidence before they invest in building. Separate design phases and opinion-based decisions delay learning. Every question in our bank explains its answer like this.
Two ways to prepare: Practice Mode and Mock Exam Mode
- Practice Mode: study at your own pace. Choose how many questions you want in each session, from a short set to all 80 questions, with no time limit and an in-depth explanation after every answer. Progress saves automatically.
- Mock Exam Mode (Timed Mode): sit a full mock exam that mimics the real one: 60 random questions in 60 minutes, scored at the end. Every attempt draws a new random set.
- In-depth explanations: every question comes with a detailed explanation that walks you through what the question is really asking and why the correct answer is right, so you understand the reasoning instead of memorizing answers.
- Benchmarking: compare your scores with other candidates and see which topics need work.
- Lifetime access with updates whenever Scrum.org changes the exam.

PSU I FAQ
Is PSU I the same as PSU 1? Yes. Scrum.org writes it with a Roman numeral, but it is the same exam.
Do I need to be a designer? No. The exam is for anyone on a Scrum Team. It tests how UX fits into Scrum, not design skills.
Is a course required? No. Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum with User Experience course is recommended but optional.
Does PSU I expire? No. It is a lifetime certification with no renewal fee.
Are these real exam questions or dumps? Neither. Scrum.org’s real questions are confidential, and dumps break its rules and can cost you the certification. These are original questions written to the same format and topics, each with an in-depth explanation.
What if I don’t pass? Our money-back guarantee covers you. See the guarantee terms.
