PSM II practice test and exam questions for experienced Scrum Masters
The Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II, often searched as PSM 2) is Scrum.org’s advanced Scrum Master certification. It rarely asks what the Scrum Guide says. Instead, almost every question describes a situation with a team, a Product Owner, a manager or several teams on one product, and asks what a Scrum Master should do. Several answers usually sound reasonable, so you need judgement, not memory. Our PSM II practice tests train exactly that.

What the PSM II exam tests
- Coaching and facilitation: when to teach, coach, mentor or facilitate, and how to help a team without taking over.
- Self-managing teams and leadership: servant leadership, growing self-management and dealing with command-and-control habits.
- Empiricism and Done: transparency, the Definition of Done, technical debt and managing risk in each Sprint.
- Stakeholders and the organization: removing organizational impediments, working with managers and scaling Scrum across several teams.
- Supporting the Product Owner: product value, Product Backlog management and the Product Goal from the Scrum Master’s side.
Sample PSM II exam question
Three Scrum Teams build one product. At every Sprint Review, each team shows its own work, but nothing is integrated. What should the Scrum Masters do first?
- Ask the Product Owner to accept separate Increments until integration is automated.
- Plan an integration Sprint every third Sprint.
- Make the problem transparent and help the teams and Product Owner agree one shared Definition of Done that requires an integrated Increment.
- Appoint a release manager to merge the teams’ work.
Answer: 3. When several Scrum Teams work on one product, they must share one Definition of Done, and the Increment only counts once it is integrated and usable. Integration Sprints and release managers hide the problem instead of solving it. Every question in the bank explains its answer like this.
Two ways to prepare: Practice Mode and Mock Exam Mode
- Practice Mode: study at your own pace. Choose how many questions you want in each session, from a short set to all 90 questions, with no time limit and an in-depth explanation after every answer. Progress saves automatically.
- Mock Exam Mode (Timed Mode): sit a full mock exam that mimics the real one: 30 random questions in 90 minutes, scored at the end. Every attempt draws a new random set.
- In-depth explanations: every question comes with a detailed explanation that walks you through what the question is really asking and why the correct answer is right, so you understand the reasoning instead of memorizing answers.
- Benchmarking: compare your scores with other candidates and see which topics need work.
- Lifetime access with updates whenever Scrum.org changes the exam.

PSM II FAQ
Is PSM II the same as PSM 2? Yes. Scrum.org writes it with Roman numerals, but it is the same exam.
Do I need PSM I first? No, Scrum.org does not require it. PSM II assumes you know everything PSM I covers, though, so most candidates pass PSM I first.
Is a course required? No. Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum Master II course is recommended but optional.
How hard is the PSM II? The 90 minutes is generous for 30 questions. What makes it hard is that the scenarios are long and several answers look right, and you still need 85%.
Does PSM II expire? No. It is a lifetime certification with no renewal fee.
Are these real exam questions or dumps? Neither. Scrum.org’s real questions are confidential, and dumps break its rules and can cost you the certification. These are original questions written to the same format and topics, each with an in-depth explanation.
What if I don’t pass? Our money-back guarantee covers you. See the guarantee terms.
